Our youth climbing community is thriving! From ages 5 to 17, we've specific offerings for wherever your child is at in their climbing journey.
Indoor Climbing is a whole lot of fun, but its also a great way to build confidence, general athleticism, mental toughness and great social skills. We use top quality safety equipment, trained and qualified staff and we keep our instructor/coach to participant ratios low to ensure safety.
Great session quality is the norm at three wise monkeys!Below is a quick introduction to each of our clubs:
For ages 5 & 6 we offer the first ascents club. One weekly session, including a mix of fun challenges, games and teamwork. Participants will learn about safety in the climbing wall, begin to build foundational climbing skills like agility, balance and coordination as well as everything you’d expect from our regular sessions - knot tying, peer belaying (always assisted by a climbing coach) and a whole lot of fun.
£30pcm for 1 weekly session, billed by recurring card payment on the 1st of the month. This includes unlimited climbing, rental equipment and 10% off in our cafe and shop.
This is our core non-competitive weekly climbing club available for 7 - 17 year olds, focused on teamwork, good climbing skills and having fun in a non-competitive format. Sessions will follow a rolling programme of themes, where our route setters and coaches will work together to facilitate coaching on a varied programme of climbing techniques, as well as everything you’d expect from our sessions in terms of knot tying, peer belaying etc. Free belaying course for all parents so you can bring your child anytime.
£40pcm for 1 weekly session. This includes unlimited climbing, rental equipment and 10% off in our café and shop.
For an additional £20 a month there's also an optional second social or Rock Monkeys session per week.
Team Wise Monkeys is our performance climbing team. It is meant for those youth who have taken a strong interest in climbing, and are willing to commit to two or more sessions per week. The syllabus builds on that taught in rock monkeys, and begins to bring in elements of competition and performance rock climbing. Team Wise Monkeys is currently available from age 10, but under 12s will need to have come through our rock monkeys programme. As a minimum for participation, all youth in the team must be willing (and able) to sign up to our Team Wise Monkeys Charter.
